  • What services do you provide?

    I provide a regular or occasional dog walking service or a Dog visits in for those days when you are out for the day.

  • Will you walk my dogs in the rain/snow?

    Yes your dog will be walked in all weather conditions.

  • How long does a Dog visit last?

    Most requests are for 20 – 30 minutes per visit.

  • Do you arrange picking up and dropping off the dogs?

    We collect your dog from your home at an agreed time set by you and then return them after their walk.

  • Does my dog need to wear a collar and tag?

    Yes, the Control of Dogs Order 1992 requires that most dogs wear a collar and a tag or disc showing the telephone number of the Owner.

  • Are you fully insured and police checked?

    Yes SmartS Walkies Dog Services is fully insured, includes key cover. Yes I’m fully CRB checked – Anyone entering your home alone should be police checked.

  • Will my dog be supervised at all times?

    Yes your dog will NEVER be left unattended.

  • Where do you walk?

    We walk in the beautiful Derwent Valley of Belper. Your dog will be walked in a safe environment away from traffic.

  • What happens in the event of an emergency?

    In the unlikely event of an emergency. I will inform you immediately. If your dog requires Veterinary attention. I will take it to your named vet or the nearest Veterinary surgery, depending on the degree of urgency.

  • How many dogs do you walk at a time?

    I walk a maximum of four dogs on each walk. If you prefer your dog walked on its own. I also offer solo walks.

  • What if my dog doesn’t like or doesn’t get along with other dogs?

    If your dog prefers its own company, then I would recommend the solo walk. Our group walks are for dogs who enjoy the company of other dogs, and if only take sociable, friendly dogs out on group walks.

  • How do we pay for walks or a dog visits?

    Occasional/Ad-Hoc: To be paid at the end of each walks or dog visit.
    Regular walks/dog visits: I will invoice you at the end of each week.

  • What do I do if I need to cancel?

    Please contact me by email or text giving at least 24 hours notice, for no extra charge to apply.

  • What should I do if I want to book?

    Before I am able to accept any bookings. I will need to carry out a FREE Home Visit. This is to establish trust with you and your dog.

  • Do we need to provide poo bags?

    No. I supply these and will always clean up after your dog.

  • Are there any dogs you won’t walk?

    I will not walk bitches in season or uncastrated males over the age of 9 months on a group walk. I would be happy to walk them on a one-to-one basis.
